National Park
Olympic National Park, located on the western most side of Washington State, is known for its incredible diversity. Here you’ll find lush rainforests, a rugged coastline, and glacier-capped mountains, quite the variety! It’s home to a wide range of wildlife too, including black bears, elk, and marmots. You can spend time here hiking, camping, and exploring the scenic drives. Plus, there are some cute towns and beaches that surround the park to visit.
Olympic At a Glance

$30 per vehicle for 7 days or FREE with the America the Beautiful pass.

Olympic National Park is located around 2.5 hours from Seattle (to the closest entrance). If you’re visiting Washington, we recommend flying into Seattle Tacoma International Airport (SEA) to begin your Olympic National Park adventure!

The Olympic Peninsula is a year-round destination with diverse climates, so weather can vary by region, rain in one area may mean sunshine in another. The summer is typically the best time to visit as all of the snow has melted, the weather is warm and the rain chances are lower.

Reservations are not required to enter the park.
Different Areas of the Park

There are several different areas of Olympic National Park worth visiting. Hurricane Ridge and the Hoh Rainforest are two of the best places for hiking. The Pacific Coast is full of beaches to relax on, towns to explore and Ozette Lake. The Staircase area of the park is the closest section to Seattle, and is a good option for those with less time to see the park.
