Today’s adventures included a trip to the El Yunque National Forest, which is the only tropical rain forest in the United States National Forest System. Despite some frustrating moments trying to figure out where trails were (and almost running out of gas), we had an awesome time hiking a trail to La Mina falls and viewing the coast from the Yokahu Tower. Our trip to the rainforest was pretty short, but it was a must see during our trip here!
Below are some of my favorite pics from today. The second photo of the patch is this new hobby Adam and I just started. There is a guy on instagram ย (@adventurepatch) who gets a patch at every national park and takes a photo of it with the park in the background. We thought that was super cool, so we started collecting them this trip. We have one from the Old San Juan forts (didn’t get a photo unfortunately) and from El Yunque. We are excited to continue this little hobby back in Texas and during our future travels!
